Welcome to my toy channel review, here’s the unboxing of another great diecast from Disney Pixar Cars 2, today I’m gonna show you two new packages I just found at ToysRus from the Lights and Sounds Cars 2 collection called Professor Z and Miles Axlerod. Professor is a lot bigger than the usual 1/55 scale measuring 2 half inches long. He’s probably 1/43 scale. He’s all metal, just the eyes glasses and top are plastic, and he has 10 different sounds, phrases. Miles only speaks 6 phrases and it also a diecast 1/55 scale all custom painted.
You press a button — that activates the lights and they begin speaking and surprisingly, they actually speak a lot of phrases , sometimes even up to 10 phrases. Very impressive and if you hold the button down, the lights stay on. And also most important of all voiced by the original actors from the movie. These Cars 2 Lights and Sounds collection are 1:55 scale. Features headlights that turn on for nighttime racing, engines make revving noises, and characters say their favorite phrases from the film. They’re sure to drive kids completely wild.
“Professor Z, is is a brilliant, but mad wanted weapons designer and scientist who is plotting to sabotage the World Grand Prix. Though his true motive is unclear, Professor Z is willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate all obstacles and keep the “project” on schedule.” During the film, it is learned that the Professor is not the main villain nor is he the leader of the lemon cars. As it turns out, he is actually working for Miles Axlerod. Since Professor Z is a scientist, Miles has him invent an electro magnetic pulse device which is disguised as a World Grand Prix camera, to use on the racers that use the gas Allinol. This was all part of a plan to turn the world against alternative energy and have all cars rely on gasoline, bringing profits to the lemon cars and himself due to the fact that they own the largest untapped oil reserves in the world. His license plate is BAD GA 58, which appears to be a pun on “bad guy”. The 58 is one of the years the Zündapp Janus was made 1958
“Axlerod is a former oil baron who has sold off his fortune, converted himself into an electric vehicle and has devoted his life to finding the renewable, clean-burning energy source of the future—ultimately discovering what he believes is the fuel everyone should be using. Axlerod is also the car behind the World Grand Prix, a three-country race he created that attracts the world’s top athletes—but it’s really an excuse to show off his new wonder-fuel, Allinol.” Eventually, Axlerod arranges for Zündapp and the lemon cars to plant a bomb on Mater’s air filter as a backup plan to kill Lightning McQueen. His license plate is ALT NRG, an abbreviation of “alternative energy”.
In Cars 2 Lightning McQueen is racing in the first ever World Grand Prix to determine who’s the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours, and hilarious surprises. Number 95 Lightning McQueen is still a hotshot racecar, but his rookie days are past him. Now a permanent resident of Radiator Springs, Lightning has become a bona fide worldwide celebrity as winner of four Piston Cups. After his latest win, Lightning McQueen returns home to enjoy life in the slow lane for a while with sweetheart Sally, best friend Mater and the rest of his Radiator Springs family. His off-season is unexpectedly cut short when Mater inadvertently prompts Lightning McQueen to enter the World Grand Prix, a high profile, three-part exhibition race that will take him around the globe. With a fresh custom paint job and real, working headlights, Lightning McQueen sets off to Japan, Italy and England with Mater in tow for the adventure of a lifetime. But competing against the fastest cars in the world tests more than his racing skills when Lightning realizes his wide-eyed best friend may not be the pit chief nor ambassador he needs to navigate the unfamiliar international terrain. His racing number, “95″ is a reference to the year 1995, when Pixar’s first feature-length film, Toy Story was released. Originally, his number was going to be 57, which is the year John Lasseter was born. Lightning Relampago Mcqueen have been released in Cars, Cars Toons and Cars 2 Diecast series. He’s best friends with Mater.

That’s awesome you got Miles Axelrod! I’ve been looking for that one forever so I could attempt at reviewing it since it appears to be rare. Kind of disappointed though since his phrases arn’t exactly that awesome. Kind of a random choice for a Lights and Sounds toy. Grem and Pacer would be better fits with phrases like “It’s the American spy!” and my personal favorite “Instead of saying kachow, he’s gonna go kaboom!”. Nice review nonetheless!
