An instructional video on how to remove Tampo printing off plastic models. The model/victim here is my friend’s Skymarks Air Canada 777-300ER. I’m using a chemical called “Scalecoat II Wash Away” that I found at my hobby store.
This video is intended to show how to remove the little black “Boeing 777-300ER” titles in preparation for my custom C-FIVS decals that will be up for sale soon. If you have the Hogan Wings version of this model, the C-FITU registration titles will have to be removed in the same way.
Note: Although I used tape to mask around the area I am removing, if you are generally a careful person, I would not suggest this. This makes it easier for the chemical to leak it’s way over to the things you don’t want removed and that is a bad thing. The chemical also loosens the tape, and it will probably come off later on anyways, although I was lucky this time. Use it as a guideline if anything.
